This Christmas I gave my mom her favorite sweater back (which is older then me and covered in holes,) but I also gave her a new one. I re-knit the sweater for her. Watching her unwrap the sweater on Christmas Eve (I could not wait until the morning) was one of the best moments of my life. She not only tells me every day how much she loves the sweater but I could see how much the gesture alone ment to her and that was the best Christmas gift I could have gotten. As knitters we put so much time and love into the things we make and we only hope that the recipient loves it as much as we do. I will always cherish this Christmas memory. Below are some pictures of my process and the completed sweater. I will have the pattern for sale on Ravelry in a couple of months.

I made some changes from the original. As a designer I couldn't "copy" it and had to make it my own some how.
Hope everyone had a happy holiday and I hope 2014 brings you health, happiness and whatever else you may wish for!
